The dilemma of avoiding distractions

I think, the only thing that keeps people from achieving their goals is "distractions". It can be in the form of any additive activity that you prioritize over things that you actually should be prioritizing.

But there's a huge dilemma in understanding and deciding what you would consider as a distraction:

  • is the family a distraction?
  • are friends distractions?
  • is the social media a distraction?

And the difficult part is, any of the top-mentioned things can be distractions, but they can be very useful and necessary as well. For example, the over-use of social media can be a distraction, but the social media can help enhances your reach. Similarly, friends and family can be very supportive, but they do turn into distractions as well.

But the thing is, if you keep dodging all distractions and reach to the top – what will you have to live for? You eliminated most of the things considering them as distractions, so now what do you do?

I think, the middle way is the best way.

Going extreme on either sides is disastrous.
