2-min guide to not ever get bored

No matter what I do or how frequently I change projects, I get bored, way frequently. While earlier I had no solid way to deal with the "boredom", I think, I now have a good working strategy for this.

As soon as I don't feel like working, or start procrastinating:

  1. Instead of forcing myself to still keep working, I immediately stop working on whatever I was working on. Bascially, I take a break.
  2. During the break, I would take a long walk or watch a movie and not think about the work at all.
  3. After the break, I scroll social media (mostly X), watch YouTube, and play latest AI tools on my laptop.
  4. While "playing", sometimes, I get a cool app idea to build, a book suggestion, or some other interesting projects that I can explore or work on.
  5. Slowly, I start coming back to my work mode and would eventually open the old and priority projects I was working on ealier and try to finish them.

And that's it – that's my way of dealing with boredom.

I understand that above points are too personal and you may not understand them properly, so let me further simplify the steps:

  1. Stop working as soon as you get bored.
  2. Do something else for a while.
  3. Work on other new or existing projects.
  4. Slowly move to the priority project when you feel like it.

And that's my 2 minutes.
